Anyone had experience of this air awning? Seems to be very cheap compared to the Kampa?

Thanks

Ron

Not a T2 but a Movelite Oxygen 2 from Outdoor Revolution. Similar I believe. Mine cost £399. Only downside is a sewn in groundsheet. I am in the process of considering how to cut it out.

I think you'll find that OR awnings are made of much lighter materials than the Kampa's, so you're not really comparing apples with apples.

My Oxygen 2 is very heavy. It's much harder to lift up on to the awning rail than my Soplair.

Lord knows how much a Kampa weighs then ;)

Kampa Pop 365 Air Pro = 19kg.

Movelite Oxygen 2 = 19.4kg

What I like most about my Oxygen 2 is that, being a drive away awning, it has a "tunnel" between the van and the awning which allows one to access the van or the awning independently without disturbing the occupants of the other. Also a handy place to divest of muddy boots and raincoats before entering either awning or van.

On a longer trip I take the full Soplair Awning (it's bigger because of lack of tunnel) and short trips with grandchildren I take the Oxygen2 :)

It just shows how different we all are. I had a Camptech drive-away for a short while with my Familia. I could not live with the tunnel that sagged or the numerous guy ropes.

Colin, your Camptech looks a much better fit than my Oxygen 2, I would have been pleased with that.

Good job we all like different things though :)
