Brilliant Bluetooth speaker

We have been looking for a speaker as the eriba doesn’t have anything built in (thank god).
Just picked up a brilliant bluetooth speaker for the eriba - Anker SoundCore Mini.
Perfect if you are looking for a cheap, great quality speaker that has decent bass, is not tinny sounding, tiny and well made. Rechargeable battery via usb cable lasts 15 hours, perfect for a weekend.
Really impressed for £17.99.

Which? don't appear to have tested the Mini, but the two Anker speakers they have tested only scored around 50% and they said had poor sound quality.

I reckon Amazon reviews are a pretty good yardstick, especially when there are as many as that. You do have to weed out the muppets who give something a one star rating because it didn't arrive the next day or because the van driver chucked the parcel into the next door neighbour's hedge, mind you.
I'm never quite sure what to make of the reviews from places like Which? or What HiFi?
Yes, the products are tested by 'experts', but being an expert means having preconceptions as to what to expect. Most Amazon reviewers don't have those preconceptions. They're judging something for what it is rather than how it performs against similar products.
If it does what you want at what you consider to be a good price, it doesn't really matter what all the other ones do.

Good to get different views, but I’ve learnt not to trust Which? I’ve disagreed with them a few too many times when I’ve bought Which recommended stuff that was rubbish and I wondered if any cash changed hands in the recommendation. I still have a look, but prefer to look for reviews in specialist websites, combined with amazon reviews and a trawl through you tube videos to make up my mind.
This little speaker isn’t going to wow the Albert Hall, but it’s light, solid built, really small, metal case, has a non slip base, not too tinny sound, decent mids , decent base for its size, bluetooth or card, 3hrs to charge 0-100%, fills the eriba on half volume, and lasts 15 hrs for a long weekend of tunes.

We bought a 'Hepburn' MKII DAB radio with Bluetooth for our Eriba, in the Emma Bridgewater 'Hearts' design. It does sound good and it has the optional rechargeable power pack, but the aesthetics were my wife's main reason for buying it, given that it matched the cups, saucers and plates in the Eriba !!

Very pricey to buy new, but I found a lightly used one on eBay for £45, which included the rechargeable battery pack and all the proper packaging. Looks like it had never been used. It looks great in the bay window, sounds fantastic, and a fully charged battery lasts a long time.

About rechargeable bluetooth speakers, ill recommend Ultimate Ears Boom 2. Decent sound quality, long-lasting battery, and well protected. Plus you can get it pretty loud given the size.
For ones with cord, my favourite is Marshall Woburn. Great sound-quality, great looks, great build quality and feel.. Everything is just great. Pricey, but worth every penny.
