I popped the fuse once with my hairdryer, that killed the electric to all the surrounding pitches and the campsite owner unable to be found. Fellow campers weren't happy 😟 On campsites with self reset buttons we have tried the few electrical items we have and I wouldn't use our single halogen hotplate at the same time as anything remotely powerful, like another hotplate, an oven/microwave, a kettle or a hairdryer. It might be okay in the UK with a double hotplate with both rings on medium/low, but if it's not, you risk ruining your dinner!
