Cracks in the plastic trim

Nearly every piece of grey plastic trim around the lights and wheel arches of the Puck have at lease one crack around a self tapping screw. The trim at the ends of the pram handle at the rear is almost disintegrating. It seems a rather cheap way of attaching it. Here are some examples:

Is this common?

This is probably caused by over tightening of screws and the effects of the weather, (plastic becomes brittle ).

Thats what I thought but it occurs to me that these more recent additions are simply cosmetic and a poor attempt to make the Puck more 'modern'.

Agreed, but I will probably have the same problems on my Triton as the fittings are the same . Cheap and nasty and yet Hymers are supposed to be quality.
Previously I had an Autotrail Motorhome and I am afraid that they put the so called Hymer quality into the cheap and nasty category. Still love the Eriba though .

If they get really bad I suppose you could simply remove them and make the van 'retro'. Its still an Eriba underneath! You'd probably be left with a few holes to sort out though but may be a lot cheaper than replacing the plastic
