Looking for advice on a inflatable awning, are the KAMPA and AL TWIN AIR the same, the pictures on the AL site show the front wall more verticle whilst the KAMPA seem at an angle, and if they are different are the inerant problems the same.
Thankyou in advance.

Which Eriba model is your van and what year is it?
The Kampa awning sits well with a "nice" fall on the roof for pre 2010 vans. If your van is post 2010 then it does appear to slope a lot as the awning rail is higher. If you use the search facility you will find a lot of discussion on this awning. To get to the point, on pre 2010 vans it is very good, on post 2010 vans you may have issues with the awning cord pulling out at the ends if you own a Troll and possibly on a Triton. On Familia and Puck no problems. Interestingly it looks like AL have now stopped selling the Kampa, or at least it is not on their website, just the AL Twin Air as an air awning is advertised.
The Twin Air is new out, and members seemed to like the look of it at AL when on display. It is about £300 more expensive. Others will give an idea if it is worth the extra as I have not seen one in the flesh.

Hi Eric
Like Colin says there was a mass of postings last year about the Kampa Pop Top Awning. Some people really struggled with it and the weather strip that came with it and others really liked it. As Colin say the more modern vans seemed to suit it less.Looking at the AL site just now the awning on show looks very different to the Kampa one.

We bought one for our 2016 Troll when they first came out but it has just sat here since as mobility problems last year and the terrible thought that I had chucked good money away stopped me from trying it out. I did get the weather strip on the roof fairly easily but I baulked at Kampa's advice to cut bits off the runner. We took our winter cover off a couple of days ago and am now waiting for a rain free and windless day in Clitheroe (!) to try the awning out on the drive. I will let you know my views after this.
