Corrosion problems inside the side marker lights on my 2005 Triton. I would be grateful for info as to where I can get reasonably priced replacement Hella units or information on alternative brand that fit. Thanks

the same item is nearly eight times the price at AL
Eye Level Side Marker £35.99
Although I suspect that price is probably a typo, and maybe £5.99 is the true price which would be the same as Leisureshopdirect's pre-offer price.

Thanks for your reply and link. The only problem for me is that the screw holes are not in the same position as the lamps fitted to my van. In my case the holes are diametrically opposite ie top hole is through the red lens, top right, bottom hole is through the clear lens, bottom left.!!!!!!

Your lamps are the same as Automotive Leisure's so it may be worth asking them to confirm their price.
If they really are asking £36 for them I'd be inclined to buy the cheaper ones, make two new holes for them and seal up the original holes.

I don't know why I'd forgotten I had them - you'd have thought this thread would have reminded me before now.
They're from our 2008 Troll and as good as new, complete with rubber gaskets, screws and bulbs. The only reason I removed them was to replace them with some Jokon lights which are a different shape. It was an aesthetic thing, that's all.
If you want them, you're more than welcome to have them FOC.
Just PM me your address and I'd be happy to stick them in the post.
Cheers
Pete

Thanks for the reply Pete and for the offer. I would be interested in details of the Jokon replacements that you purchased. Was it easy to fit them or did you have to make modifications?

As mentioned in the linked thread, the lights themselves (part no. SPL2000) are easy enough to get hold of, and are a straight swap for the Hella ones.
The white shroud is a separate part and not quite so easy to find. They do do white ones, but I couldn't find any anywhere and got a pair of black ones as shown Werbung: here and painted them white.
I think they look nicer than the Hella lights. Some may argue that I've wasted time and money on changing something which works perfectly well as it is, but I prefer the Jokon ones, and I like tinkering with stuff, so I don't really care what other peeps think...

Hi again,
Thanks for your time and the information, brilliant. Two Jokon SPL2000s now ordered, much cheaper than the AL replacements and better looking I think.
