With probably more than 30 members in France at the moment what's your verdict? Fact or Scaremongering?

We filled up at Brantome as a reaction to Bryn and Islay's comments before travelling north. It cost us 1.54 euro a litre but there was no sign of panic yesterday in Cognac.

The blockade has been lifted so don't panic! The price is expensive, but nothing to do with the blockades.

the price increase is because they have stopped "tax habitation" for most folk and put it on the fuel instead, here in the Charente, La Rochefoucauld, there is no fuel problem

As I thought. Typical British hype. French fuel prices have been higher than UK prices since we've been out here.

A litre of deisel is anything from 1.40 euros to 1.56 euros. Now about the same price as their cheapest wine
