No you don't need to be on both although many folk are.

The forum, because it has many sections for different discussions plus a search engine, is far more useful . We started an Eribafolk Facebook page because many people are happier using that facility. It is quicker and easier to use but within an hour or so your post could find its way off the bottom of the page.

As far as I can make out, the difference between this forum and Facebook is that on Facebook every post is accompanied by one of two things; either a photograph of the meal that the poster is about to eat, or a photograph of a stuffed toy animal wearing a scarf.

It could be worse.

Mrs Pete's cousin in the States posts well-intentioned but heart-rending photographs of glum-looking rescue dogs. Sometimes the dogs are missing an arm or a leg.

If I ever went on Facebook I think I'd post nothing but videos of babies laughing uncontrollably.
