Wigo awning help

Just replaced our 94 Triton with a 95 Troll. The awning that’s come with the Troll has a centre ridge pole, coming downwards, with a flat end - what is it supposed to connect into?

Just a quick reply as I'm at work, but if you Google "Footman Loop Bracket" or even put "Footman" into the forum "Search" function you may find what you are looking for.

Hello Kay

I've got one of those brackets that I don't need. If you want it, let me know and I'll stick it in the post FOC.

Cheers

Pete

Wow, really? I've measured the flat bit and it's just under 4cm? Kay

Erm...

Can you hold off throwing your hat in the air for a little while? I hate to have raised your hopes only to risk dashing them, but it isn't where I thought it was.

Now that doesn't mean I've lost it, it just means I don't know where it is.

I'll have a proper look a little bit later. I don't want to let you down, and neither do I want to embarrass myself in full view of the two people who liked the post.

Please stand by...

I may be able to help you out here, Mr P - where did you see it last?

That's where you need to look.

You're welcome.

Kay

I've remembered where the bracket is.

It's in a different county.

This bracket scenario cropped up at least a year ago, and I offered it to someone else, just as I did to you. The difference back then was that I had a bracket to give away, so that's what I did.

And that explains why I haven't got the bracket any more.

All I can do is apologise. I could say if I find another one I'll send you that, but saying that would serve no useful purpose because I haven't got another one.

Pretending to have another bracket when I haven't got one would be silly, so I won't.

It might be, of course, that the person to whom I gave the real bracket (the one I thought I had) has no further use for it and might consider giving it to you, but I have to accept the reality of the situation and that this is not likely to happen.

Honesty is the best policy, I feel.

Contritely yours,

Pete

It may well be the same as the one used on the Wigo Vision Canopy:-

Either way it would be a good idea to contact them as they are a very helpful co who talk Eriba and may be able to assist.

As young Pepe has let you down...
You utter, utter, utter cad.

You make it sound like I did it on purpose, whereas the truth of the matter is that it was an extremely unfortunate consequence of helping somebody else out.

Helping. Somebody. Else. Out.

I forgot, okay?

I'm a good person.

I look forward to a full apology at your earliest convenience.

Grrr.

Does the footman bracket also need the appropriate spacer behind it like the other brackets?
