Out of hibernation

The Puck emerged from her winter hibernation yesterday. The winter jim-jams have come off and she's all nice and dry underneath and inside, fortunately, after the horrendous rain this winter. At one time she was even standing in flood water although it only got a few inches up her wheels. However when we tried to move her she didn't want to budge, the brakes had siezed up on one wheel. Managed to get the Mini nearer to her than we normally do and gave her a little tug - she moved a little bit but the wheel still didn't turn. Thought she was stuck forever, but then the car rolled back a little bit and she went with him and luckily the wheel started to turn.

We weren't going that far though, only about a 20 mile drive. The Mini is due for his annual MOT and service so he's taken his girlfriend with him this year. His mechanic is going to give the Puck a good going over, grease everything up, check wheel bearings, brakes etc. One of the feet winding mechanisms is not working properly so he's going to have a look at that too.

Typically we got stuck in a traffic jam caused by an accident and got sent round a diversion along a tiny country lane, up a virtually unmade road with potholes, up a hill and over a hump back bridge, meeting traffic being diverted the other way on the other side. Not fun when you're towing. Good job the Mini and Puck are only small!

Yes good luck and we thought we were late in getting our PuckL out. Not used yet but soon.
