Hi, I am Eriba Ted.

I was a rejected ‘Ted’ by my previous owners and kicked out of my house and sent to live in a musty old cardboard storage box with other unwanted items.

I was loitering in the bottom of this box, under a very large ‘Christmas Ted’ in a hospice shop in the Norfolk village of Holt when I was whipped out and told that I was to start a new life that would involve travelling all over Europe.

I have little recollection of my previous life or how long I have suffered the ignominy of such a rejection so I am grateful for this intervention and the chance of a new life as the Eribafolk mascot. I am looking forward to my new adventures travelling around UK and Europe in Eriba caravans and being looked after by the good people of Eribafolk.

Your humble mascot

Eriba Ted

Hi Ted and welcome to Eribafolk. I think you might have met many of our members at the Summer Meet at Cambridge.

So when and where is your first trip?

We have heard that you are off on your first trip in 3 weeks, so remember to pack only the bear necessities as there is bearly enough room in an Eriba for much luggage.

I have been asked to explain to those who were not at the Cambridge meet or those who could not hear Clippie’s thunderous voice when introducing me to all (I think there would be very few of those), how I intend to travel and represent Eribafolk.

At the meet I was asked where I would like to go for my first trip. I did say that I quite like the idea of getting some late summer sun and as I had spent the last couple of years being rejected and stuffed in a card board box, to see as much as possible. It was suggested that Eribanaut, Bunny and Dave, where off to Croatia in September and to get there they would have to travel through a number of different countries. I did like the idea of that, I have been told of the beautiful Croatian cost and clear blue sea and I am looking forward to topping up my tan!

However…….. I might not get there. As the mascot for Eribaflok I have agreed that whilst on my travels if I meet up with another Eribafolk member I will jump van and go where ever they are going! If for some reason I have not been able to jump vans by the time the next Eribafolk meet takes place I will come to the meet and select another Eribafolk member to join. Hopefully this way I will be able to do lots of travelling and be able to report back on the forum of all my adventures, and spend many happy years with the good people of Eribafolk.

I toast your health

Eriba Ted
