James McDowell from Eribafolk Facebook found this photo. It looks to be real as they have also extended the chimney by quite a bit.

So he is. I wonder if he made the mod himself as there is no visible means of supporting the roof from the outside. Perhaps some internal corner props?

Also it doesn't appear to be a roof "borrowed" off a Feeling.

Not the pop top shown above but one of our Facebook Group, Urban Dahlgren, posted this link to a German Company that does make them for all sorts of vehicles including the Eriba.

Had a PM chat with Christophe (forumeribatouring) who was also interested in the roof and I think he's solved it.

During the move from Cernay to Bad Waldsee, Hymer decided to build some prototype Eriba Tourings alongside Westfilia, and this could be the result.

I've just looked at some Westfilia roofs and they certainly look the part and use an inside folding framework to support the canvas rather than outside gas struts.

I'd love it if Eriba built one with a bed up top. Would come in hand for the grandchildren I mentioned previously that Hymer do make an Eriba Feeling with one of these as an optional extra.

is this a different van but the same type.? Same lovely awning but this has a bike bike on the front.

Looks like the same van. Both have no drawbar cover and the only reason I can see for the removal would be to fit a bracket to mount a cycle carrier.
