Hello, new prospective owner

We have owned air-cooled vw transporters since 1990, the last one a T25 (air brick) for the last 17 years. But we are finding that more and more time is being spent fixing, fetling and spending cash to keep it running, so we are considering a puck to tow behind our daily. It is a mini convertible (R52 2007) so we are limited (as far as I have been able to find out) to a max towing load of either 650 or 750kg. Seem to get differing information depending on where I look. If anybody knows for sure, it would be good to find out.
Anyway a bit of researching and looking out for what is available is going to be the order of the day for the next few weeks. Looking forward to starting some new adventures.

to the Forum. The website "whattowcar" would be probably be your best bet for matching tow car to van.

Thanks for the quick response. Just looked and can get a good match with a Puck 120 for a newer van, so hopefully an older van should be just as good.

It's not just the weights, some minis are not homologated for towing. There should be a plate showing towing limits somewhere, normally on the door pillar.

Yes we have loved it. Been on many adventures over the years, just getting a bit tiresome now and needing more work as it gets older. Trouble is there is no free NHS for old vans
