Eriba Future 430T 2002

Thanks for adding me to your group this is our first caravan, we have owned a static caravan in norfolk for the last 10 year, but we have decided to combine the two next year and do a little traveling and spread our wing a bit further than north Norfolk, we took the plunge and bidded on a Eriba Future 430T, the caravan is going to be my winter project as there's been substantial water damage to the interior, would love to hear from anyone who as experiace of this model.

Hi and
From the other Future 430T owners on this site, living in Dorset!.
Where is the water coming in on your caravan? We had a leak below a side window that ended up due to a leak on the awning rail.
Anyway if you have any questions, please PM us and will help if we can.
All the best, Chris and Keith

Hi again thanks for the offer of help and all the comments.

the water is coming in from the very top of the caravan thats where the damage is most severe toward the back over the dinette are and over the sink i've had a quick look at the top of the caravan under the pop up roof and side panel and there a lot of bathroom sealer smeared over old sealer it's a bit of a mesh realy but i can understand why anything to stop the leak, anyway i'm going to take the top cupboards out and clean off all the old sealer and then reseal all the joints, but i would appreciate any advise on this.
the cupboards are totaly ruined by wetrot but furtuantly the door have survided so i need to surce some matching plywood to rebuild the carcasses.

This thread might give you a bit of encouragement. The Eriba Future 430T Re-build

The roof on the Future is very complicated if I remember correctly. I did have some photos to remind me but alas, I can't find them.

As you know, the curved outsides of the fixed roof hinge away to expose what is I think, a roof well where the poptop sits into. It is just a guess but I would suspect that this is the area you should concentrate on. I would suggest that sealing from the inside is not the cure and attention should be paid to the outside of the roof.

What do you think and also the Snoozers think?

I've found the pics and have published them more for information to non Future owners.

The bit that bothers me is the gungy joint seen in the first pic.

Definitely a weak spot. Whether it’s the source of the ingress or not it would be worth the effort to take it apart clean it and reseal it I think.

He's also created a video of the project so far:- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=25QNkXQl...Fc7HOvbu6H2BGRw

Looking at the links on the video, he's certainly the man for the job
