asking price for used 540GT Troll

Is £7500 a reasonable price for a "consistant with age" 2003 Eriba 540GT? Photos show it has been well used but not abnormally so. Or is it a "how long is a piece of string" question?

It has a cracked rear window and we're finding it difficult to find anyone in the south who specialises in eriba replacement windows. We're a long way form civilization ie ecco in Halifax. So the price reflects this.

You'll find that most Eriba windows are not that special. Try this place:-

We ordered a side window for our 540 through Jandi. They worked out the dimensions from the Vin number so we didn't need to measure.
They placed the order with the manufacturer and then posted the window on to us. Whole process only took a couple of weeks and we fitted the window ourselves in a couple of minutes. We were well pleased.

Thanks Keith and Sue. What an amazing forum this is. Off to pick up said van tomorrow.
Give it a good once over for damp ie smell and closely examine the inner panels for discolouration. Check the floor and make sure it feels solid and not spongy especially by the door. Have a good look underneath for rust and decay. Ask to see all appliances working, fire, hob, water pumps, fridge etc.check fridge is working on gas/electric.
If van has been standing for considerable time check the age of the tyres and visually check for cracks in sidewalls. Don't want a blow out on way home!
Good luck

Thank you all for your tips and advice. We've returned with van after spending a night in it and all is basically sound but I don't think we got a bargain but you gets what you paid for. Apart from the window which we knew about, the roof screen and surround was covered in black mould and I've read the many posts on that subject! Is it easy to take it off to wash it -or more important - can you easily get it back on again?.
And the door pocket shelf retaining plastic had snapped.
We bought it to see how we get on with it before parting with arms and legs for a newer one. The sleeping arrangement is certainly better than climbing over each other as in our current van- but we'd still like an island bed. Pontos where are you?
However, it towed like a dream all the way from Blackpool to Cornwall so we're planning our internal refurbishments.
But again all your tips are invaluable.
Thank you
