repaint roof troll

Good evening everyone, I have a troll of 98 and I would like to repaint the fiberglass roof and the underlying part up to the drip of water, what do you recommend? Can I use the same paint or two different products? how should I proceed? Thank you

I'm wondering why you want to paint the roof.
1 - If the finish has gone flat/dull with age then it is possible to polish it back. This is something most owner have done at some time and I would say is a general maintenance job. You can do this with the likes of T-Cut and then a good car polish or go the professional route and use grp polishing pastes.
2 - If the gel coat is crazing then you would be advised to find a local professional who can treat this. Some car body shops might be able to advise but better still would be a boat builder/yard.
3 - If you just want to change the colour then look up possible paint products on the internet and then contact manufacturers technical support departments for advice.

Since I have to replace the rubber seal that is broken in more places I thought to fix the roof as well as being opaque also has some crack. You say that it would be enough just a polish for the under part (gel coat)? there is no risk of reducing the thickness too much and favoring the entry of water?

Unless the underside is damaged, which I doubt, I'm guessing it is just very dirty. Give it a good wash and a wipe over with a mild bleach solution. 1 part bleach to 4 parts water should kill any green stains, but repeat after 24 hrs a couple of times if needed. Don't get it on the pop top fabric. Use search facility for instructions on how remove and clean this if needed. It sounds like you are going to give the van a good tidy up this might be worth while doing this.
I'd get some professional advice on the gel goat crazing. This is fairly common and it might not be of any concern at all. My 2017 Triton is having this dealt with under warranty at Lowdhams in Nottingham.They have a man in to do grp work.
When you take the rubber seal off I'd be tempted to lightly sand the exposed edge to get rid of any rough spots or sharp edges.

after two days of work of the coachbuilder I present my new Troll, new stickers, painted roof and new gasket, ready to face the summer holidays

Hello Randa, the new stickers I made them do in a printing shop specializing in the creation of stickers for rally cars, the chosen colors pick up the lettering on the walls

In fact, even before I did do I looked a bit on the web but I did not find anything that I liked and that resume the original stickers. These are the same size as the originals and can be made of all colors.

Ours are silver grey and purple on black but I quite like the all black and grey look Have you put them on the rear side panels as well? (excluding the "Eriba" name)

Does the company you approached for the artwork take mail orders?

Yes, on the sides the writing "Touring" was in good condition and already gray / black so I chose the same colors. To recreate the sticker with dimensions and characters identical to the original they used a thin tissue paper and with the pencil was traced and then inserted and processed to the PC
Monday I have to go to the store and ask if they ship. I'll let you know in the evening.

Hello Randa, the shop where I did the stickers lotrovi quà www.meridianavco.it in the photo gallery Fb find their jobs and in the week should also insert my trailer. :)
However, the stickers I made them do in October and the price seems to me was 150 euros for both. Keep in mind that to make them identical, Simone (the owner) has literally traced them to me with pencil on tissue paper and then worked on the computer. After a couple of corrections, the color I chose was printed.
For shipments abroad you should ask them.
