Wheel Bearings Change?

Brain picking time, my Eriba bearings were changed in 2014, so how often should they be changed ? I am due to have our 320 Familia serviced in France in May so am thinking I should change them before our UK trip, yes or no?
Probably done no more than 4000 miles

Wheel bearings should last between 85 to 100k miles, subject to them being regularly serviced, inspected to make sure the seals are undamaged and dirt cannot get in. Lower mileage could also be caused by inferior materials being used in the manufacture, other factors causing stress on the components, (or prolonged driving on dirt roads).

I'll be interested to find the answer to this. I don't think wheel bearings are considered a regular consumable item as such and should last many thousands of miles. I'm not sure if bearings used on Eribas need greasing or are sealed requiring no maintenance which I suspect is the case. I reckon that a service engineer will just check that your bearings are running freely without grinding or noise indicating wear much the same as a vehicle would be checked.

I really wouldn't have thought so.. Think of the wheel bearings on your car, how many miles have they done since you last changed them? Modern bearings, assuming they are not cheap copies, should last a life time, I would have thought. Jack the wheels off the ground and spin the wheel listening for any grumbling sounds. Grasp the wheel top and bottom and see if it has any play in it...
