I am off to Slapton sands tomorrow, so I thought check the tyres today.
Just as well, one of the Yeti rear tyres was 1.50 bar instead of 3.00 bar.
I drove it up the road to the local tyre emporium and after a short inspection
they found a nail shiny with defiance in the main body of the tread.
£25.50 later I had a once again roadworthy vehicle. If I had left it 'til the morrow
I would have lost a day, worse still I could have had an accident on the M5

I've seen the pressures for a Yeti, and they say 44psi for five occupants and a full load of luggage. Then there's something about 35psi for three occupants and medium luggage, whatever that is.
There are two of you, a boot full of luggage and a caravan which is putting around 75kg or so on the ball?
75 kilos is not far short of twelve stone, or about the weight of one average dude; i.e. three occupants in total plus your stuff, give or take. You'd have to be carrying ingots in your Superkettle to make up the weight of two extra people.
Wouldn't you say that you're closer to the 35psi recommendation than the 44psi one?
It must be like riding a boneshaker at 44psi, and 9psi extra is a heck of a lot.

Pete I did not even notice the "flat" tyre and it certainly did not look flat.
The drive and handling remained perfect, it was only the check that
showed up any problem. I have 17" wheels and the Skoda chart says
3 bar for fully loaded. It behaved perfectly going up to Norfolk earlier this
year with the Troll the ride was silky smooth.

That's fair enough, mate.
Notwithstanding how the car feels to you, do you think there's any merit in what I'm suggesting?
I'm not trying to undermine you in any way; it's curiosity, plain and simple.
And I still think 44psi is pretty high - high enough for me (were it me) to make a conscious effort to reduce the pressures when the van wasn't on the back. For one thing, I reckon you're more likely to suffer from premature centre-tread tyre wear tootling round with them blown up that hard when they don't need to be, and the grip of an unnecessarily hard tyre is compromised in poor conditions.

I've been pondering whether to bump the pressures on the Ceed when towing, I've not bothered so far but with what we carry in the boot, the dog and the van's noseweight we're at about 95% of the car's GVW which might be an even higher % on its rear axle limit, so it probably counts as well loaded.
