Charging problems?

Looks like my Scheiber BIP 36.12854.33 unit on the Puck, is doing everything else but not charging my leisure battery.
My service guy is working on it, but im open to any advice.

The usual has been done, fuses and such.

Is there a upgrade/new unit option for this?

Fast responses would be great as the guy is here!

Regards Bob.

is the house trip gone?
other than wiggling wires checking the trips fiddling with switches and using multimeter to see if over 13volts on battery cant suggest much more
some times the battery state can be so low it wont charge, but your person will know that
good luck

I was assuming you were at home using a home socket to power the hook up lead, if house trip sensitive to wire wiggling can knock house electrics off although it shouldn't
out of box thinking

also assuming your puck has a charger, some eribas were supplied without

another thought was the hook up cable being faulty, again another long shot
hope you get it sorted

Bob. I've had it on good authority from someone on here that the Eriba BIP unit is not very reliable but they can be removed and replaced with something a little more 21st Century.
I don't know any more than that but I'm sure you'll get more advice later.

Bob,

Roger is right. I'm experiencing problems at the moment and will be in touch via PM later.

I'm very busy at the moment otherwise I could give a long, detailed spiel on the matter. Basically, the BIP charging circuit is crap and apt to fail.

Mine is being updated at the moment.

More later today.

Many many thanks for the reply.
As I said everything else works fine, but the battery isnt charging at all and the unit is faulty.
Luck is in hand though and here it is.
The service guy is getting me a new battery as its too old.
I have a brand new battery charger still in the box.
The charger will be place near the bip unit and I have a three pin Uk socket next to the BIP.
Ill plug that in this socket and it will charge the Leisure Battery when socketed to the house or in site.

Its a work around until we can find a replacement unit, which hopefully someone can help with sourcing.

HOW ABOUT THAT?
