Hi
We're contemplating fitting a towing cover to protect the front of our 2019 Triton 420GT.
We never had one on our Baileys but there again our last Bailey did pick up some stone damage and our previous Eriba 2008 Triton 430GT had some minor chips on the front.
On our maiden trip in the new van we did encounter a newly surfaced road near Wareham, luckily we missed it towing the van but it does make you wonder.
Anyway I've notice Protec have one and wonder if anyone has used one.
Very best regards
Tom

Tom,
if you use the search facility it seems to boil down to them fixing well, but the white adhesive button pads on smooth vans look out of place or ugly, depending upon your view. Some owners have sourced clear button pads and these look better.
I thought about one for my white stucco finish van and got a sample button pad. I was not happy with how it would perform on this finish, which is also of a thinner gauge aluminium.

They do seem to be getting more common but as Colin says there may be an issue on the dimpled finish. The blue one looks nice on the silver vans!

We're happy with our cover, so far, and think it's fought off quite a few stone chips and a lot of dead flies and dirt. We stuck with the white fastener thingys which, after a while, we just stopped noticing. After all there are a number of other things stuck on the outside of an Eriba. We have the blue Protec cover for our 2018 Troll 542 and we are very pleased with it , looks good and in my opinion it’s worth every penny of the investment.

We got a grey Protec cover to go with our silver 530. Brilliant. Keeps the bugs off in warm months and the road grime off in winter.
We were worried about the studs but instead of white studs, we got clear studs. But first time we used it, we forgot they were even there.

Hi again thanks for the help via replies.
We've purchased a blue cover off Pro-Tec for our 420gt and are really pleased with it.
The service we had off Pro-tec was brilliant, couldn't ask for any better, they were extremely helpful.
To be truthful the only very minor quibble we had was that the covers were slightly 'baggy' at the bottom so we've fitted another press stud either side and it fits even better.
Again many thanks to everyone who replied and very best regards
Tom

Hi Tom,
I have since towed down to North Devon and back from Central Scotland with the cover in place. Best money I have ever spent. The splodges of dirt on the cover on return home speak for themselves. This has to be good for resale value.
I agree about the service from Protec. They were excellent.

Just done first trip with pro-tech towing cover.
Slight problem because the bike carrier cleverly attaches to the front of the caravan to prevent it from pitching forward but the Pro-Tech cover goes over the attachment point. I have put straps from the grab handles to the bike carrier so it’s stopped from it’s forward movement. Quite pleased!
