Updating incandescent light bulb in older Eriba

I have a 1193 Eriba Pan with 25w candle shaped light bulb , old type with filament. I want a brighter output LED bulb and have found 6W (40w euiv.) and
8w(60w equiv] As LED lights do not get so hot, would my old style light fitting be up to taking an 8W LED? The lighting works off EHU.
