We've been away Eribaing for a little over two weeks now and there are a couple of things I'm already starting to miss about GB.

fish and chips.jpg - Bild entfernt (keine Rechte) Alf Tupper would never survive out here. Little wonder the French are not good middle distance runners.

Pie and chips.jpg - Bild entfernt (keine Rechte) Top of the list. I dream of pie and chips. Why can't you get them here? Off to Spain next so less chance again.

Please, please. Anyone who is travelling directly from Blighty to La Rochelle for the EOC meet in mid June, can you bring us a couple of meat pies? A long way off I know but I'll try and survive until then.

What do others miss most when they are away from home with their Eriba?

For a taste of home (and a massive cholesterol hit) when on a French site with a restaurant, you can often buy takeaway chips to go with your sausages and fried eggs. Ask for "une barquette de frites"

We find that with the Remoska and the Cadac there are very few things that we are unable to cook.

We don't have a Remoska or Cadac but last year Mrs R made quite a few splendid things in the halogen oven including a meat pie so perhaps she might read this and take pity

We'd better wait until we get onto the next camp site however because as this one is located on a cliff top I would hate to think that the light from our halogen oven could bring many ships to grief on the rocks below us
