We have an old full size electric kettle bought from Tesco (£6) many years ago. Its 2.2Kw and has at times caused the EHU to trip out Thinking of replacing it with a compact travel kettle up to about 1Kw and volume of up to a litre.
Would welcome any recommendations from fellow members on what you use for your cuppa rosie lee!

We have a Russel Hobbs 3061. I don't think it is available anymore new. It looks like it's been replaced by this https://www.amazon.co.uk/Russell-Hobbs-T...0/dp/B01D3E9O7E
Used ours since about 2001 without problem. We give it a descale every couple of years as the flat concealed element base starts to hiss and make a noise.

If you don't have a hot water boiler then maybe a low voltage hot water dispenser could serve you two purposes. We have one of these and it enables us to have a brew whenever we want and also plenty of water for use in the kitchen or bathroom. We use the 3.5 litre model as it fits under the units in the kitchen area, when we are not in the caravan we also use it at home.

I got the cheapest supermarket one a few years ago and it does the job.

That's what we have at moment but it tripped out EHU a few times this year in Spain.

We got a camping kettle from Aldi, low wattage, a bit slow to boil but no tripping out and full size.

We have one of these, https://www.campingworld.co.uk/en/Kampa-...19/m-21808.aspx. Never causes us any problems at all.

2200 Watts divided by 230V = 9.6A, so no surprise that site circuit-breakers are tripped at times as many Spanish sites are 6A supply. We use a low-wattage (1Kw / 4.3A) kettle bought from our local caravan dealer's shop. Takes a while to boil enough to fill the tea-pot in a morning but hey-ho, I'm not in a rush when touring :)

We use the cooker in the van with a pop up kettle. It works surprisingly well in fact quicker than the low voltage one we had before.
