Hi, when the lid of our Triton's cooker is opened, an Al panel swings out to the side, to stop the washroom wall being frazzled. The little pads that hold the pivot bar for this have detached from the lid itself - does anyone know what sort of glue to use to re-attach them? TIA Steve

Hi Steve and welcome to Eribafolk. To help folk understand your problem can you state which Eriba model you have?

Presumably a front kitchen 420 as it opens against a washroom wall?

Thank you all for those welcomes, I was a member of the forum a couple of years ago, but couldn't remember my login details, so had to start again! Age does not come alone

Randa - Aofie is a forward kitchen Triton, with a SMEV (sp?) cooker - the lid lifts to reveal a sheet of aluminium on a fairly clever hinge, and the hinge attaches to what I presume is a solid glass panel with a couple of plastic pads - these have come off

Steve
different deflector set-ups have been used over the years so a couple of photos would help to get my head around this one.
If you could glue it as the surface are is big enough for a joint then an epoxy resin such as Araldite would seem the way forward. This will bond to most rigid materials as long as they are clean, dry and grease free.

I've repaired mine successfully with a two part epoxy resin. Just make sure you get the hinge pads in the right place or the glass lid won't shut down properly.
When I bought my Triton 5 years ago the previous owner had carried out this repair incorrectly and I wondered why the glass lid didn't close fully flat.

Top advice, thanks all, I'll give it a go before Aoife goes under her cover for the Winter
