hook up leads. newbie questions

Hi,
New to caravaning and need to get a hook up lead.

What do I need to get? I have a 1992 Puck.
25m seems to be standard...
Any particular ampage?
I have seen some 16A blue ones, some 240V orange ones...????
Help!

The cheap leads are 1.5 mm which may be the blue ones but not always, the better ones are 2.5 mm

25m long seems to be the standard requirement but some people carry more.

Get one of these as well, https://www.amazon.co.uk/Bosmere-Product...e/dp/B007I8NHDE. You can just about fit 25m on it and it makes it easier to store.

I would advise getting a 25 metre one as above but also a 10 metre one for shorter distances to EHU plus the ability of connecting the two to give you a 35 metre cable, especially useful if you go abroad.

Also for going abroad, get the EU adaptor equivalent to the GB one shown above :- https://www.amazon.co.uk/European-Adapto...g/dp/B00EHI8WR4 Not often needed but stuck if you do and you don't have one.

Arctic cable is much easier to handle ‘cos it stays flexible at colder temperatures. It’s available in different amperages.

I use one these cable tidy reels, I can get my 25m leed on it and into a bag. This combination will avoid getting your locker wet and mucky.

Pull the cable through a microfibre cloth as you coil it and clean and dry for next time !

How good is that? Ordered after midnight on Wednesday, delivered by DHL this morning and yes, it is a cable tidy and not a wobbly box cover.

The suppliers must be giving them away as the signed for DHL delivery charge for a large box must be around £4.99.

Only one problem is that the winding handle is on the same side as the hole where the end of the cable pokes through so it gets in the way a lot when winding the cable up.
