What's one of those gadgets. I don't cook but it might help the one that does.

Thanks Agger

We've been looking for an induction hob for a while to take with us on our trips. There are several out there but we wanted to make sure we could control the number of amps it used when starting up in case we came across any 6 amp sites on our travels.

We'd already tried and returned one from Maplin which defaulted to maximum power every time, so we thought we'd give the one from Aldi a try today.

It's just what we wanted. It can be started up in "Power" mode which defaults to 2000W (setting 10, and uses less than 8 amps), ideal for UK. Or it can be started up in "Temperature" mode which defaults to 120 degrees C (setting 4, and uses just over 4 amps) ideal for abroad.

The cooling fan is a bit loud but for £30 with a 3 year warranty, it's an excellent purchase.

We got ours from Lidl at very reasonable prices but you have to look out for them coming into stock as they don't always have them. The top branded ones can be very expensive

We only use a Wok and a frying pan We also have a steamer (electric) and we eat very well

Pots and pans, I have recently seen in Tesco and Debenhams some good quality end of line clearances

Try HUKD = Hot UK deals on line just google HUKD,
