any recommendations for products for washing and polishing? Years ago (15) on my old Abbey caravan i used Fenwicks caravan cleaner & then rinsed over with there Bobby Dazzler to put a shine on it so to speak. With caravans having multiple angles, aluminium strips etc they aren't the easiest thing to polish and with sealant between various strips they need doing with care. Are the Fenwicks caravan cleaner & Bobby Dazzler still the best weapons of choice?

I have heard that Aldi/Lidl do a good cleaner, but I've always used a good quality car shampoo. Any stubborn marks, streaks and tar spots I remove with a spot of whit spirit, just like on the car.
When I had smooth sided vans I then applied a car polish such as Turtle Wax over the whole van each season. This was supplemented with a coat applied to the front of the van prior to a long trip.
Now I have dimples I use Bobby Dazzler and must say I'm impressed. After the wash and de-streak I put a capful into a pump up spray with 5L of water and spray followed by a good "leather down" with a large microfibre cloth.
This year we were away for a 6 week spell and towed about 2,000 miles. Whenever I saw anything on the van I gave a wipe with a damp cloth and it lifted off. At the end of the trip I had no problems removing flies etc from the front of the van.

Thanks Colin, I have been trying to come up with the best way to use bobby dazzler. Just adding a cap full to 5l of rinse water as suggested in the instructions doesn't really work. A spray seems to be a good idea. (just at the end of my first year Eriba'ing).

For frequent/routine care, Fenwicks Caravan Cleaner or a good quality car shampoo, followed by Bobby Dazzler.

As Colin says, the pump up spray is definitely the way to go on the Bobby Dazzler. Gives great, even coverage, and reduces waste so is economical.

As we have only recently acquired our Eriba, I haven't had chance to wax the body, although did cut, polish and wax the roof before covering for the winter.

As it is a smooth sided Troll, (and as per Colin) I intend to use a good quality wax (not polish) in spring to enhance the bodywork and act as a protective/sacrificial layer. My own preference is Bilt Hamber Double Speed Wax, due to ease of application and deep gloss shine. As yet though, it is untested on the Troll, but works fantastically on the cars.

Hi Carl. I'm not sure that someone called SMUTtley should offer advice on cleaning
