Hirth Tramp.jpg - Bild entfernt (keine Rechte)
Translated as:- In 1946 the Tramp was the first post-war wagon in Dutchland. Aero-Sport was designed by Erich Bachem in the late 1930s. The manufacturer of the Tramps was Wolf Hurst from Narbern / Tech, who was supported by Erich Bachem and Armand Protzen, later Eriba managers. The construction was very much based on what is not surprising since both Bachem and Hirth were aircraft constructors and glider pilots. The streamlined plywood body with a painted textile cover made the Tramp very light. Hirth liked to advertise this as a travelling Hotel room that can also be used as a work and conference room.

We saw 3 similar vans at Cherry Burton site just outside Beverley last month but couldn’t find a name. They were all set up for quirky glamming with custom paint jobs (or maybe wrapped). One was kitted out with the Visit Yorkshire/ tour de Yorkshire theme.
