Gas locker door adjustment

Is there a way of adjusting the pantograph fixings of the inset gas locker door on our 2003 Triton 420? After 3 years of perfect operation, and no oiling, it now descends like a guillotine just as one starts to turn on the gas tap. This caused me to fall backwards on muddy grass to avoid injury. The pivots have no visible adjusting bolts or screws to tighten up the motion slightly. Help please.

Haha, I twice wrote a thankyou to Ray for pointing out that there were gas struts, but the whole message simply vanished off the screen. The struts are labelled Rayflex, but googling that name did not reveal any. Does anyone know of a suitable replacement?
Thanks, Nick

Has anyone removed the gas locker struts? The problem is to take off the circlips using the correct size of circlip pliers, as they seem to be quite small-4-5mm? It is quite difficult to measure the diameter of the grooved shaft they rotate on. Most circlip tools seem to be 10mm min. If I can take them off, I can get them re gassed, as discussed above.
Alternatively, it occurred to me that the outdoor temperature here is currently only a few degrees above freezing, so maybe they will work a bit better when it is warmer.
Thanks for any technical input.

I am pleased to be able to say that the problem with the gas struts on my Triton has been resolved, thanks to members' suggestions. The hardest part was getting the right circlip pliers: they need to be very small, to fit the 6mm circlips. I found that SGS engineering runs a regassing service for £25.98 delivered, which works out at less than half the price of a new pair of struts. I exchanged emails with a very nice, helpful man, Tom Radford, at SGS, who rang me back when he had received my old struts to confirm that they were suitable to re gas. I got them back today, and have refitted them. The hardest part was compressing them about 6mm, so that they slip onto the studs they are located to with the circlips. When I open the hatch, it rises up to the fully open position by itself.
Be sure to get a reasonable number of circlips, as the old ones may become unusably bent during removal, and be very careful not to lose the nylon washers, 2 per stud.
