My wonky sidelamp

During our recent short break, a truly horrid man criticised my caravan and mocked the placement of my offside front sidelight. When I said that I thought it gave my van a certain charm and individuality, he callously said it reminded him of a man with 'bogging of the eyes'.

I was crushed.

Does anyone else's Eriba suffer from this affliction and if so, is there a cure?

I think you'll need to have that sorted before attempting to enter Gloucestershire

Seriously mine was a bit scew, all I did was take it off, cleaned it and put it back on, and somehow that sorted it maybe the screw just "bit" in a different place

My '01 Troll had slightly wonky lights which I put down to having no gasket/surround between the light 'tube' and the body of the van. The '05 lights had the said item fitted and were fine.

Its just character and the nasty man should be ignored. Obviously he has no taste and as such shouldn't be listened too.

I took the offending light off yesterday thinking that a bit of re-profiling of the plastic shroud would soon sort it out but, to my surprise, I found that both shrouds were identical.

I then measured where the lighting cables emerge through the front skin of the van and discovered that they are perfectly matched.

My conclusion is that sorting the 'problem' out would be more bother than it's worth, so the characterful Marty Feldman appearance is here to stay.

How about a small dowel to hold it at the right angle,
just a peg to locate in the periphery of the existing hole,
then tighten it back up.
