We have just bought a second hand Eriba 542. This is our first caravan so we're pretty much newbies... Just wondered how you change a tyre on these?
I would never want to change it but it has happened to me in the past so best prepared.
Do you use your car jack?
there is a spare tyre underneath.
I cant find any toolset. Am I missing something?
Thanks for your help.
Darryl

Welcome Darryl & Nina.
If you use the search facility you should find lots of useful info on how to jack up your Eriba.
The best bet is a trolley jack and this is what I use at home as to carry one is heavy. For on the road you are very limited and a good bottle jack on a sheet of ply is your best solution. Unfortunately you are limited in suitable jacks as you have little height under the axle (your jacking point) and the ground. Search out a Coram/Land Rover jack. This is about the only one that will fit in this confined space, give the lift you require and be stable enough.

Its also best to leave the van attached to the car as this prevents it rolling off the jack, which can happen even with the brake on and wheel chocks in.
