Dear Eribafolk, I have an awning for a Eriba Puck 230, which I purchased last year second hand from a owner of a 230, hoping it would fit my Eriba Familla 320. Unfortunnately doesn't fit. I purchased another pole as my van doesn't have the lower rail so I could put it in the place of the middle short pole. Which I used once to some success. It says its a Soplair its in very good condition and would keep it as I really like it. I am selling it for £100, I paid £150 it's well worth it if you have the van to fit. See photo's attached. Mark,
the Soplair awning you have should fit both the PuckL [225/230] and the Familia [310/320]. It is a well made awning and used by many owners. I have had two of them.
To help the short middle pole locate you ideally need to fit a small bracket in the centre point of your rail. If the short pole has a pin on the end the bracket will be like those already fitted at the ends of your awning rail. If the end of the pole has been flattened out you need a bracket as in the photo below.

This bracket as you can see has a variety of uses. It sometimes comes in black.

Mark,
the only rail you should have and need is the awing/gutter rail that runs around the bottom oedge of the roof. This runs directly abobove your door and should be about 1.9m from the ground.

Hi Mark

Here is a picture of our old awning and how it attaches to the van....ours is a puck, but the principle is the same. The bit that the awning frame attaches to is on the gutter rail that runs above the door. A lower rail is not required.

Sorry we were not able to help. We too have changed to the Kampa pop air and have been very happy with it. I am sure that you will have no difficulty selling your Soplair awning.

I don't understand the problem, the pop air and Soplair attach to the same rail.

Not the middle pole! See photo's, there's another rail needed for the Spolair awning I'm selling lower rail or window rail as in photos. No need for lower rail for Pop Air which I've now purchased. See last photo which is my caravan where I've inserted another pole to see if it would work, which I purchased but it's not great . Hence why I'm selling it. Extra pole included if needed. hope that explains it.

As everyone else has said, you only need one rail, the one above the door, but you DO need the 3 fixings in this rail for the awning poles to attach to.

THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A LOWER RAIL MARK

Your photo seems to show the awning with the wrong poles up against the ‘van!

To clarify the situation for anybody who who is thnking of buying the awning as the picture in post #8 has clarified the problem:-
It will fit any PuckL or pre 2010 Familia. It will not fit a post 2010 Familia as the van is taller. This is the issue, not a lack of lower awning rail.
The Soplair is a good quality tradional awning that will stand up to the most sevre weather.
