Hi Guys

I need some help please, not sure what i am doing so wrong. I can't get any hot water using electric, I have read the manual until I am blue in the face. I have 240 connection as the TV is working and the leisure is charging. I have checked all the drainage valves and they are all closed, checked the fuse box and tested that it all seems to be working fine. If I use the gas switch I can hear it trying to fire-up but as the gas is not on I get the red light as one should, I am getting water through the taps so the pump is working correct. This is the very first time I have tried to use it and been trying for two days now but no joy any advice wold be great I am sure it me missing something

What make/model is your water heater. Have you tried the fuse. Have you left the unit on for 20 minutes to buld up to temperature.

Makes our two-cup kettle look a bit basic.

It does work though.

I'm sure one of our resident experts will have you sorted in no time.

That is posh. I'm guessing you have "read the manual". have you called the supplying dealer?
If the fuse box is fine and the pump works would that narrow it down to either the switch or the element. I'm guessing the switch should have illumination on it so you should be able to narrow it down further.
One more thought, I'm assuming the boiler has a thermal cut out. If you had attemptrd to run it without being primed/full of water then this should have kicked in.

the water pump is working as I get water from both taps, there is no illumination on the switch only a red light that indicates something is wrong, no idea about a cut out I cant see one and nothing in the book

I'm guessing this is your unit. Page 6 might be of use:-

Do you have a white switch inside a locker at the back? Our mantra goes - white switch, black switch, green switch for hot water in our 2018 Troll.

We have the same equipment as Sean in post 4. Haven't had any difficulty with it at all. Just flick the switch and it heats up though it takes quite a while. Assuming that it has filled up with water, you could try turning the gas on and seeing it it heats up then. Make sure the external cover is removed.
The only problem we get is turning it on accidentally. Why the switches were fitted where your feet can kick them on is beyond me.

We had a similar problem. Water from both taps was no problem but we could not get the boiler to heat up. The problem was that the hot water boiler was empty. Try the following. Fill the cold tank. Set the sink tap to the hot setting and turn on. You should hear the pump running while water from the cold tank primes the boiler. Wait till all the aerated water stops and the tap runs free. You should then have a full hot water tank and the boiler heater should work.
Worth a try.

Forgot to say - start from scratch with all pipes drained and tanks empty. Fill cold tank then prime the hot water system as described above. Good luck.
