Hi, hope you techies can help or am I being dumb?
I would like to double up the single socket on the front window cill of my 2016 troll. But, all the videos I’ve seen show a CBE socket being fed off the 12v supply. Can I use the 240v supply to the existing socket, after all it would only be like buying 240v 3 pin usb adapter?

If you have a look here 2017 Triton 430 - extras and modifications you will note I managed to get an extra socket in the front of my 430.
It was not a quick job to get done. You need to strip the aluminium table trim off, scrape out the top 20mm or so of polystyrene insulation and run a cable from the back of the existing front socket through a flexible currugated plastic tube to the new location. Using the protective tube is to stop chemical reaction between the cable and the polystyrene. You need to do this. To get the hole drilled for your new socket location you will need an angle drill and a shallow hole saw.
I usually use these two front sockets for techie bits, chaarging phone/tablet/mp3 player etc via a treble plug in usb adadaptor bought from IKEA.
I usually buy my CBE bits from https://clearcutconversions.co.uk/produc...s-and-switches/ If you phone them they will mix and match products to your requirements.
