Hi guys. I purchased an Eriba Troll Ocean Drive and picked her up on Monday. First time i have owned a caravan and delighted my wife has decided to come aboard. She is looking at interior changes and buying chairs, storage containers and washing lines to name a few items.

Just thought i would say hello and can't wait to have fun and make many rookie mistakes

Welcome, and I'm sure you'll make a few mistakes but have lots of fun. At 50 you are a youngster, although I must admit we sourced our first Eriba when I was 41. A fair bit has happened since that date 18 years ago, but lots of happy Eriba memories.

Ah, I see where you went wrong.

Although a brief spell as a caravan owner in the 70s we did all our camping in tents. In the late noughties when all the kids had left home I tried and tried to pursude the missus to buy an Eriba. She woudn't budge until I was able to convince her that an Eriba isn't a caravan, it's an "Eriba" with all the quercy design features.
Happy Eribaring and the first word in the Eriba vocabulary is DUCK. No, not quack quack, mind your head. As one of our number called it, beware of the Eriba KIss.

Looks like a lovely caravan!

I'm only 53 and I bought my first caravan last year, Esther the Puck. Had camping holidays for years in my previous relationship (so it's what I call luxury now). Enjoying getting to grips with all the ins and outs so I can assure you it'll be great fun. Only got a Puck as I realised it would fit down our drive and before that was contemplating a little teardrop pod thingy - glad I fell into the wonderful world of Eriba.

Hi Scottish Troll & welcome.

Sounds like this has all the makings of a Romcom ...........but what a great van to start with as they look really cool. The Troll is a great choice, we have a 540GT which we love. . We like to see it as luxurious tenting.

You will have brilliant fun once this lockdown is over and you can start discovering all the joys of Eriba ownership. Also you are quite a youngster so you will have years of fun ahead of you. Kath wasn't overkeen on caravaning or Eribas at first but is now a passionate convert.

You will do loads of thing wrong and make mistakes but the elders & gurus on the Forum will guide you through if you just ask. They are used to "daft" questions and usually tolerant.

Best wishes
MikeT

That's my man.....................

I have very little hair left so the bumps really sound loud as they hit my bare head and then give me little scars. A bit like a badge of honour of ownwership.

Some say you only do it once and then you learn.................not in my experience!
