After a few years of caravanning, we bought an Eriba Troll last October. We have just returned from a weekend in Northumberland which was our 2nd outing. We were lucky to be able to park on a friend’s drive and use their facilities. Surprised that we didn’t spot any fellow Eribas on our travels to and from Nottingham.

Quite. Thanks Colin. Noticed a huge difference in towing having downsized from a twin axle Buccaneer Schooner. It’s a real pleasure. We deliberated for quite a while before settling on the 540 layout and couldn’t be more pleased. Troll sits comfortably on our drive (schooner had to live in a depot) so we’re enjoying having it ‘on tap’ to load/clean/stock. Our old set up meant an hours round trip just to have it outside the house!!!

Welcome to the Forum Toby from a fellow 540GT owner.

It must have been good to have your first run out.

On our first run out in ours after returning home from collecting from AL we went to York. We were disappointed as we didn't see another Eriba on our journey. Then as we pulled up at the site gate to register an identical 540GT pulled in behind us - we were gobsmacked. Only had a quick chat with them but they had just picked it up from new and were driving it back to Scotland, to Aberdeen if I remember rightly. They were shattered and were going to bed as they were leaving early doors next day for the long drive North.Didn't see another 540GT for nearly a year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The wierd thing that I do sometimes is see an Eriba and instantly wave at them and then realise that the Troll is safely at home on the drive as I am not towing it...........
