Hello and afternoon all, having survived so far using wibbly wobbly ships of the road we've plunged for an Eriba. HMS Tarmac III is being picked up next week, new to us its a 2015 Troll 540 and will soon be off to France on its inaugural voyage. We've been to France plenty of times before so that's OK, just need to get used to the door on the right wrong right side etc.
etc.. Tips and tricks welcome and if you spot a Troll chasing a bright red Hilux then give us a wave, ;-)

Hi Nick and welcome to the Forum.

Now for some real caravanning in a Troll 540 - a great choice of Eriba by the way.

When we got ours in 2016 I banged my head a lot going through the door at first - having very little hair left made it very painful. Someone on the Forum suggested always putting your hand on the top of the door space when you got in and out of the van as this reminded you of the height. Great advice and worked for me ....most of the time.

Perhaps apply this as well at first when you are moving to sit in the lounge area.

Like Colin I am jealous of you shooting off to France. Enjoy your tome with HMS Tarmac 111

Welcome.
Where are you going in France? Be aware. Don't want to be a damp squib, but covid is building again here. In Brittany, 110 new cases in 5 days.....thank you, tourists!
Bring a good supply of masks and gel.
