This may be a silly question. Does anyone know if there is a 12v socket anywhere in a 2008 Troll? I have heard of sockets in the light fittings but that doesn’t seem to be the case in our van. Any help appreciated.

I had a 2007 Troll and do not recall a 12v output. In older vans I believe one could be found in the end of the long light fitting over the sink area. It was a "Hella" style output.

Julie, if you want a 12v outlet then one way of doing so without touching the vans 12v circuit is to run a couple of leads directly from the battery with in-line fuses in the two lines. You could then if you want source a nice outlet from https://clearcutconversions.co.uk/produc...s-and-switches/ They will do a mix and match on components so you can get exactly what you want.

Thanks Colin, it was just a one off need. We were considering going away off grid and a friend had a solar panel that needed a 12v socket. We’re not going anywhere now as of yesterday we have tow bar problems that are now being batted between the tow bar fitters and Honda. They have another day to sort it out then I will start jumping up and down.
