1979 Puck wheel bearing replacement

Starting to work through the running gear of the newly aquired puck before we put any miles on it.
Checked the wheel bearings and found one to be collapsed

I'll get two new sets of bearings and seals but have a couple of questions ::::

1) Is there a specific torque for these or just nip them up and back them off a little as I would with my VW ? There is a castle nit with a split pin so I'll be re-using the nut with a new pin. I've seen reference to a one-use nut on other threads but it looks like this is for later vans without the castle nut arrangement

2) The bearing retainer on one side is flattened. Are these available to purchase still ?

Thank you !

One shot nuts are I believe only found on newer vans and need a 3/4" torque wrench for fitting.
I'm sure JohnE will be along soon and tell you all you need to know.
