Access hole in floor

A couple of years ago I bought an iBoost Pro D8. This is a directional wi-fi booster and I'm impressed. Last week when away in Wales I was told the wi-fi could be accessed free at the barn which was about 40/50m from the house router. I could not access it, but when another 80/100m away my booster picked it up, and I enjoyed free access in the van on my tablet.
The problem to me is the ethernet cable dangling through the window so I made the hole in the floor I'd been planning to do since last year. You can see this in photo showing suction mounted booster on front window of van.

1 - In the underbed access locker I drilled a 1 1/4" hole working from above and below.
2 - I had planned to use the tube fitting in photo to line the hole but realised I may not get a good fit and so masticed the neck of a thin plastic bottle in place The lip around the neck that was left after cutting the threaded top off stoped the tube from sinking into the hole.
3 - Ideally I would now have used a flanged tank connector for my 32mm access plugs but these are designed form thick plastic water tanks and not a 45 mm thick floor, so plan B was a couple of teak discs with a hole drilled into them for the access plugs.I Araldited these into place with a pair of small brass screws though the sides to stop any possible rotation of the plug if the glue failed.
4 - Teak discs then stainless steel screwed into place, the one under the van bedded in with mastic, the one in the locker dry.
5 - I've sourced a couple of generic rubber O rings for when I drop on the floor and loose the originals and will pad around the cable with abit of cotton wool so no insects can crawl up the cable

You could also obviously use this method for getting a tv cable into the van if you wanted
The underbed socket is fed from under the sink. This gives me power when needed in the awning and I have a lead that plugs into this and feeds a waterproof socket under the rear of the van if no awning is fitted. I usually leave the plug in circuit tester shown in place so I can check all is well when I hook up on site.
