Just been through some of the stuff we got with the van and came across this piece of material. IMG_20200824_121916597.jpg - Bild entfernt (keine Rechte) It's got an awning type strip in it and some ties. Does anyone know what it's for? Could it be a shower curtain of some sort?

My thought as well. Have a look on the underside of the pop top above the toilet area. Do you have a piece of aluminium awning track attached to the ceiling?

In addition to a shower curtain, ours has a small curtain to cover the area above the door once the roof is lifted. Usually this is rolled up (and another bit of equipment that is never used). Your item seems to be larger than this though.

They call that a modesty curtain because obviously with it in place nobody could tell you were using the toilet

Does it come with matching earplugs?

Well, went to van today and there is an awning rail inside loo compartment. So that's figured that out. It is indeed a shower curtain!

I'm thinking that these washrooms were designed when people were smaller than today. I might have been ok in the 1970s but 40 odd years of lifestyle has taken its toll.

And certainly, keeping things down to a reasonable level of decibels is going to be challenging with such flimsy soundproofing!!!
