Triton rear lights

I have a 2005 Triton with "bronze" and clear plastic coated triangular rear lights. The clear coating has flaked away from the light housing which doesn't look very appealing. Has anyone else had this problem and if so, did you replace or repair them? I could rub them down and spray but it looks to be a very specific finish.

What you have experienced is very common. The original silver grey goes gold/bronze with age and the clear lacquer fails. The most common solution is to take them to a car body shop and have them resprayed in the colour they now show.
