We bought our 550GT last year, delivered to us in April
Here's a summary of our options and the usefulness so far:

- GT - excellent. Only thing not useful is the door bin. We love the silver. Storage flap under the bed is necessary imo
- 1400KG uprating - very necessary due to all our options
- Hot water (electric only) - very handy, used every trip
- Internal 30l fresh water tank - very handy. Def wouldn't be without this
- Additional storage flap for the other side (storage accessible from both sides) also a necessity imo - the storage space is just so huge, and you don't want to have to lift the bed each time
- Bike rack - essential for us, but be careful. We have now a few scratches on the car after our very tight space in Italy
- Higher backed cushions. We love them. v comfy. Not a necessity tho. You get the normal cushions as well cos the fit the dinette bed conversion (never used)
- gas heating and warm air blower - we intend to use this over NYE. Used it briefly in the swiss alps in the cold mornings
- leisure battery - necessary if you plan off grid trips. We're going to Norway when the borders open next summer, so will be used
- Thule Omnistor canopy - we love this. Up in 2 mins. We bought the hold down kit for windy weather

We got the dealer to add an extra power socket for us near the bed
Other half has fitted some extra 12V USB ports, and will fit some more, as we have a lot of gadgets
Other half also prepared the van for portable solar panels. Will be used when off grid

We don't have an awning. We do have a popup gazebo tent with integrated mosquito nets that we use if it is going to be rainy (with extra walls) or particularly buggy (I'm allergic to anything that bites).

We didn't get the mover. We're planning to get one fitted in March! (Will also help us not get scratched by the bike carrier. Doh!)

Hi Wendy and thanks for your very detailed reply, really helpful.

Whilst we like the GT pack we don’t really like the Pearwood interior as it is appears quite dark so I think we are therefore limited to the 60th edition which has the grand oak finish. I think we’ll end up making sure we get everything you listed with the exception of the bile rack and will have a mover installed immediately too.

Thank you so much.
Simon
