If you go to the search tab on this forum and put "hot water" in the search box, with inverted commas in as here, you'll get a lot of very helpful information from past threads.

There are several options available, depending on whether you want water heated by gas or electric. And obviously how much you want to spend!

Thought for the day - hmmm......

Hi Barbara

We had ours installed as an extra when we got our Troll so know nothing about retro fitting but a few thoughts about having it.

It took us a lot of thinking before we opted for it. We thought that we just wouldn't use it enough to justify the cost. In fact we didn't use it much to start with - partly because it wasn't fitted properly at the factory in the first place. However we slowly got the hang of it and now always put it on for a bit.

We got the dual gas & electric but to to be honest we always go for a pitch with an electric hook up and probably haven't used the gas part for 2 years. We use the electric on low heat and soon get lovely hot water.

It comes into its own if you are using the van in the Autumn & Winter time when you don't want to walk to the facilities. But whilst saying that it was not cheap to have it put in. I am aware that many people think it is far better value just to boil some water in a low voltage kettle or similar.

Not an easy decision

Good luck
