Hot water heater problem on gas

Hi All, I am hoping that someone will have some knowledge of how to get our hot water heater running on LPG. We bought a new 530 Troll last year and I have always used the HW heater on electric mode. I just switch the rocker switch to 50 and 10 minutes later I have a nice tank of hot water. Then 2 weeks ago we had a weekend camping in Lymmington. The site had no electric pitches left so I say no trouble thinking we could be self sufficient with gas and the leisure battery. All went very well apart from the b......hot water. I flicked the little rocker switch (gas) and could hear the thing ticking/trying to ignite, but it kept going to lock out (red on the switch). We had full gas tanks, all the gas valves are in the on position, and so we had no how water. Does anyone have any idea how to fire up the boiler using gas. Thanks, Robbie.

Robbie, did you forget to remove the water heater's external flue cover?

Thanks for your reply John. I can see there is a white square on the outside. Does that come off. I thought it was a fixed flue terminal ?

The fixed terminal and removable weather cover:

The burner won't ignite with the cover on as it will be starved of oxygen

There is a knack to taking the cover off - push down on the top with the heel
of one hand while pulling out the bottom with the other.
