Don't know about Eric and Margaret, but Phil and Dena are already queueing up, out of frame, to collect their winnings ( AGAIN )

Yes and they weren't happy apparently about losing to Frantone

Gosh, did those crafty Frantones mastermind a win again, and against the reigning EOC finalists? You've got to watch them you know. All is not how it appears..

We had to borrow a set of boules. They were nice new shiny garden boules as used by most peeps. However after a few ends on one of the hard standings they showed distinct signs of wear and chipping.
Out of politeness I offered thanks for the loan and I apologised for the damage and offered to replace them with new ones. I was a bit surprised then, to be told "you should have played on grass!"
I also expected my offer of new ones to be politely refused, even if grudgingly. You know, like, "oh there's no need".
But no, so off we went on the hunt for a replacement set. We found some in Bridport.
Mrs P refused to let me take them in case I said something out of order and I wasn't allowed to give the damaged set back as well.

We're gonna get some of them proper French ones, a set of three, big and heavy and carbon steel like wot the Ashtons have got!

You won't get any of those dear friend. Didn't you know Phil was in the RAF and those where part of some sort of '70's secret weaponry.

Thanks, I did know the word but couldn't spell it correctly with all the accents.

Also good laughs here as usual

From the "ASHTONS"
Well Boule is only a game when all is said and done! We do not mind losing at all, we regularly win and lose some games.
I am surprised that you had to replace their shiny balls, shows that they do not know that the more scratched they are the more experienced they are.
