I have a 6kg Calor Lite bottle but I'm aware that over the last few years they have been difficult to come by, have at times been withdrawn and still may be.
In preparation I am considering a 6kg Flogas. This is the same height and diameter but takes a 27mm clip on fitting. I have one of these from when I used a BP Gaslight bottle so thought I'd get a hose in case I cannot replace when the time comes next year.
Question is what hose do I need. I want 450 to 500 mm length, the thread on the fitting is about 3/4" outside diameter and left handed thread so I think that's a female 1/2" pipe thread on one end of the hose I need. Also do I need to have one of the in-line pressure release button thingies. Any advice please.
My clip on regulator looks like this Werbung: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/27mm-Clip-on-...hsAAOSwJm1Z1Aa0

ps - I've used these folk in the past and found the service to be excellent so a link to there site would be a bonus. https://gasproducts.co.uk/

Is this what I need? Werbung: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/0-5m-20-Butan...RV/163753016399

Thanks Dave. I've worked my way through the link and it looks like I have the correct hose. I will order one next week and hook it up to my 27mm clip on connector. I might also ask my son to pick up a Flo Gas bottle from his local dealer in Devon. They did not charge him a deposit when he got a large bottle from then a year or so ago.

To answer my own question, there are two ways forward. Flogas do two 6kg bottles, both with Propane I believe and they are the same weight as a Calor Lite.

https://www.flogas.co.uk/product/6kg-propane-gas-cylinder uses the same hose as that for the Calor Lite Werbung: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/0-75m-POL-x-W...Y-/163753022097
https://www.flogas.co.uk/product/6kg-leisure-gas-cylinder uses the 27mm clip on fitting and you need this type of hose Werbung: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/163753016399

450/500 mm are long enough for a bottle fitted nearest the regulator and 750 should be fine if fitted on the other side of the locker.
Whilst the clip-on bottle fixing seems more expensive to fill it might be an easier route as the bottle can be taken out quickly to check the level.

As calor is a screw fit and Flogas also do a screw fit, why do you need to change anything? or did I miss something?

As screw fit is considerably cheaper there doesn't seem too much of a decision to be made. How often do you check the level and what good does it do? If you are getting low you are getting low.

When I started the thread I was only aware of the 27mm clip on fitting. The screw thread fitting is a bonus and a lucky break, as said above this is what I already have and don't need to change anything.
I posted both possible solutions as if starting from scratch it may well be worth going the 27mm clip on fitting route. This is I believe compatible with some continental bottles so it could be worthwhile carrying a hose and fitting if you spend a lot of time abroad. I might still get a hose for this set-up as I already have the 27mm clip on fitting and have planned to spend 6 - 12 weeks abroad.

For continental travel, I always switch to Campingaz hose connections as you can ALWAYS get the bottles swapped in just about any hypermarket.
Much lighter for touring also.

I also carry a Campingaz 907. I use this out of the van for the Cadac and have a bulkhead hose attachment so I can use it if my Calorlite runs out. The problem with using it instead of Calor, BP, FloGas etc is the cost. Campingaz is the most expensive way to buy gas for you van, by a long way. 2.5 times more expensive I think.

Agreed. Wouldn’t use it over here, but we’re usually on electric pitches over there and unfortunately I can’t spend a long time away because of that ‘W’ word which shall never be mentioned. 😳
I bought 3 907 cylinders off a bloke on eBay a few years ago and there’s still 1/2 fill in one of them.

I’ve also got a french hose which I pop in just in case.
