Hi I am looking at getting my Eriba serviced. It’s a 1994 310 familia. I only got it yesterday and not sure when it was last serviced.
I have contacted someone who can do it. They say it will cover the heating and water plus chassis etc.
Is it worth getting it serviced though as I am pretty sure the heating doesn’t work ( I assume I will pay more to fix this) and there is no water. It’s £220. I don’t mind paying but not actually sure what he will do. I know the rear lights work etc and it has new tyres.

Good idea. £220 for a good job would be a fair price. Being realistic as the history is unknown I'd budget extra but hope lady luck is on your side. I'm assuming he will do a damp meter check.

Hi Andy. If he's not familiar with the Eriba range (incl the Familia) get him to have a good look around the underside to check that the chassis and sub frames are OK.
Everything else should be as per any caravans; brakes, tow hitch, lights, heating, water etc, he might do a damp test.

From there it depends on you if you want it serviced every year. We don't and we do more than normal mileage in ours but you need to ensure that your Insurance company doesn't insist on a recent service record if you make a claim. Many do.

Think I would go with Colin on the first service and ensure that they do a full damp test, so if there are any problems you are aware of them
