Forum Membership

It may be worth mentioning to all members, including admin that because this forum has to pay an annual hosting fee and that fee is worked out on the basis of the number of members we have, we cannot afford to carry dormant members.

Therefore it's this forum's policy to consider that any member who has not logged in to this site for a period of 6 months or any new member who has never logged in or has logged in only once during thier first month on membership, are no longer interested in retaining their membership which will be deleted.

Can I remind folk that you don't have to say anything when you log into this forum as the process of logging in will be recognised by the system.

Any lapsed members are more than welcome to re-join us but by doing so you will lose any continuity with your previous threads/posts.

I have had several messages on Facebook recently that folk can no longer get onto this forum and this is the reason why. This policy has been active for the past 8 years or more.

It's only there so we can get down with the dudes.

Actually, Eribafolk Admin is NOT a member of admin but a common-or-garden member and was only created to look at things as a non-Eribafolk Admin. member. Therefore I decided to call him Eribafolk Admin. That makes sense doesn't it?

It IS a bit confusing though; for example, I sent a message starting “Hi Randa” before I realised my mistake, and I was feeling sorry for poor old Eribafolk, not least because of his parents landing him with a name like that.

When I joined up, I remember thinking how exotic and cosmopolitan you all were; after all there was Randa, Pepe and Maceriba (a dancer?.,.)🙃
Thank God for Mr_Underhill at last, a real name I could use with confidence!
