OK so if you invest in one of those clever pop up loo/shower tents and shower gel and suds away merrily - what do you do about the grey/waste water?

I guess first you would have to get a tray to stand in and collect the water. Iv've got a slightly bigger version of what looks like a mixing tray for sand and cement, but the lip is about 70mm high. Something like this:- https://www.amazon.co.uk/Square-Creation...7186376&sr=8-32
I use this in the boot of the car when carrying anything that could leak, for piling damp logs on in the garage and many years ago soaking bbq grill in.
The water collected I'd just drag the tray out of the tent and tip it on the grass. If anybody wanted to moan at me then they can.

We used a large shallow version of a builders bucket last year when site facilities were shut. When we’d finished we just dragged the bucket to the hedge behind our pitch and dumped it there. I guess it could be a little awkward if your pitch is in the middle of a site surrounded by others. You could bail it down the sink in the Eriba if you were that worried about other people but that’s a bit of a faff.

Wash? why would you want wash on holiday? a quick scrape down with sandpaper every 3 week is quite good enough

We use the same shallow two handled builders bucket as Julie and Neil and when showering is done there really isn't much more than and inch or two of water in the trug so we just hefted it to the back of the van and chucked it under in the absence of a suitable hedge.

Eribanaut: Well thank you for that. Actually I can manage to shower in the Eriba washroom (just) but other half cannot so after a week or two I might just not let him in the van again.

Make sure you go for shampoo and shower gel that is good for the environment. Like this

We use one of these. There is a little outlet on the side to empty the water.

However I haven't worked out how to plumb it into the mains drainage yet, so use a bucket to empty and take to the drain, or sometimes it goes down the hill.
